We love putting products through their paces all in the name of glowing skin, better hair, fluffier brows, and everything in between. Every now and again there are products that truly impress us and earn themselves a permanent spot in our routines.
In this series we share with you our current beauty obsessions for the month.
The beauty of the self-care revolution is we’ve realised that we no longer need to feel guilty about prioritising our wellbeing. Light has been shed on the benefits of taking care of ourselves and putting our health and happiness first. Here in the a-beauty office, we try to make self-care an everyday occurrence. We’ve found that having the right products within easy reach helps remind us to indulge in some much-needed ‘me’ time.

My February obsession: Apotecari 5-in-1 Scalp Brush
“I cannot get enough of the Scalp Brush. As I have curly hair, I only brush it if I have had a blow-dry or on wash days, which for me is once a week. I can honestly say though I look forward to washing my hair because of it. It not only feels great on my scalp but it helps me to bring some of the oils that sit closer up the hair shaft down to the ends that are crying out for a little TLC.”

My February obsession: Salt By Hendrix Body Polish
“I was gifted the Body Polish from Salt by Hendrix before I even started working at a-beauty and I‘m in love! On Sundays I focus on self-care and the body polish is the first part of my routine. I run the bath, then start massaging on my legs massaging upwards towards my heart. I’ve found it’s been really gentle on my sensitive skin. I feel so smooth and hydrated after it while also getting rid of any dead skin along the way. The smell is amazing, too! I usually then jump in the bath and soak with the jojoba-infused polish, relax, then hop in the shower to wash it off. I’ve now just started using the Mermaid Oil from Salt by Hendrix too! I’m really loving it on my skin. I’ve found these are such nice gifts for my friends.”

My February obsession: The Unnamed Hydrating & Anti-Aging Sheet Mask
“I love a good sheet mask but being time poor I don't get a lot of time to just sit with one on. However, the The Unnamed Hydrating & Anti-Aging Sheet Mask is one I try to make time for. I love how it makes my face feel soft, plump and hydrated. I can see the difference in my skin as soon as I take it off. I also find my foundation sits perfectly on my skin after using the mask.”

My February obsession: Theseeke Revitalise Botanical Hand & Body Lotion
“I like to keep a tube of this hand cream on my desk to apply a couple of times throughout the day. My hands are prone to dryness, especially when I use hand sanitiser, so it helps keep them soft. But it’s not just the nourishment I love - I find the simple act of massaging the cream into my hands super soothing. Those 10 seconds it takes to apply is enough to help me pause, take a breath, and reset. This formula is non-greasy but lovely and rich, and it has a delicate botanical scent so it’s calming but not overwhelming.”
