We love putting products through their paces all in the name of glowing skin, better hair, fluffier brows, and everything in between. Every now and again there are products that truly impress us and earn themselves a permanent spot in our routines.
In this series we share with you our current beauty obsessions for the month.
Spring: The season of new beginnings - AKA the perfect excuse to add a few new products into your beauty routine. For us here in the a-beauty office, we’re updating our fragrances to match our new-season mood and making the necessary changes to our skincare routines to complement the current conditions.

My September obsession: Lumira Terra Australis Candle
“This month I am obsessed with the Lumira Terra Australis candle. It’s one of my non-negotiable desk essentials next to my An Organised Life Diary and whichever facial mist I am devouring that month.
It’s a beautiful candle with a very distinct scent that I find subtle enough to burn all day without it becoming too much. If only it came in a larger size!”

My September obsession: Goldfield & Banks Southern Bloom Fragrance
“I haven’t tried many unisex scents and I normally go for light sweet floral fragrances. After using Southern Bloom for a few weeks I have become obsessed with the earthy floral scent. The mix of exotic wood and spring florals felt very sophisticated and not too sweet. It has a smoothness to it that gives it a beautiful freshness. I started researching the ingredients so I could keep an eye out for them in future fragrances purchases. The scent is inspired by the Boronia which blooms in spring on Bruny Island off the coast of Tasmania. It feels very fitting to wear this at this time of year and to be wearing a scent which is native to Australia.”

My September obsession: Theseeke Rejuvenate Nourishing Facial Moisturiser
“Now that we’re in spring, I’m in the process of transitioning my skincare routine to be a little lighter and fresher. This is my new go-to moisturiser for spring. In winter my skin struggles to stay hydrated so I like to use a really rich face oil. But now that it’s warmer (we’re already getting 30-degree days here in Queensland!) I needed something that still felt ultra nourishing - my skin is constantly thirsty, no matter what season it is - but not as heavy on my skin. Theseeke’s Rejuvenate moisturising cream is the perfect consistency. It feels so luxe and is packed with antioxidants and vitamin C-rich Kakadu plum, which are great for protecting skin against free radical damage. For those transseasonal days where the temperature feels more winter than spring, I sometimes like to mix it in with a face oil for a little extra nourishment.”

My September obsession: The Kind Sunscreen SPF30
“My routine is not great. As a guy, I like minimal and effortless. But one product that I do consistently wear is The Kind Sunscreen SPF30. I wear it underneath my coloured zinc prior to a surf. I like it because I know my face is protected against the sun and it tends to last a little longer on my skin than other sunscreens as it has a thicker consistency.”
